And it’s still that
simple today. In fact, we’ve had the same goal ever since 1962.
Though we’ve grown out of that little nest in the Victoria area, we at Brown
Hearing Centers still maintain an uncomplicated approach to our
business. Work hard to help people get more out of life. Whether
you’re a musician who just has a hard time picking out certain high
notes—or a severely impaired patient who can’t hear fire alarms
ring, we want to help you.
Just like you, we’ve
survived decades of ups and downs. And our business, which to this
day remains family owned and operated, looks back in
appreciation of what we’ve learned in the past. We’ve learned the
value of things like.., the concept of straightforward deals: No
hidden fees. One price includes all you need. We’ve also learned
that, sometimes, it’s good to do business the “old-fashioned” way.
For instance, we still do house calls. Why? Because we
realize that some of our patients just can’t run out the door and
drive downtown like they used to. Once again, it’s that simple.
But with all the
things we’ve learned from the past, we also realize that you can’t
live in the past, especially these days. And that’s why we couldn’t
just stay in one place. We knew there were thousands waiting to
receive better hearing. So
we spread our wings and created a home base, including a hearing
aid lab and repair center, in Orange, Texas, right on the border of
Louisiana. From there, we have since spawned over 300 testing
facilities throughout Texas and Louisiana. And we’re still
expanding.
We know, however,
that it takes more than sheer size to lead the pack. It takes brains
too. Keeping this in mind, we continually update our knowledge of
the industry: We research and utilize the latest trends in
digital hearing aid technology. Additionally, every one of our
state licensed hearing instrument specialists endure intensive training sessions several
times each year. They learn from a broad base of disciplines,
including the most current digital-circuit engineering concepts. But
we don’t just sit there while our heads expand with all this new
information. . . .We put our knowledge to work, continuously
developing new strategies to better help our clients. Innovative
ideas continue to move us forward, and it shows. Truth be told, we
would not still be in business after all these years if we were
nothing more than smart couch potatoes. We work hard to make life
sound better, just like our founder.
In fact, if you visit
our corporate headquarters, you just might catch Lee Brown working
his way around the office, checking over employees’ shoulders and
listening in on service calls. We’re positive it’s only because he’s
trying out his new pair of hearing aids. (That’s right, he’s not
just the owner, he’s a client, too.) Sure, he’s “semi retired,” but he still has to make certain that we’re all just
keeping it simple.
